Sew Funky Part 1: The Booth!

The Whimzee Creations side
The last Saturday of March I spent at the Sew Funky Market place at the Riverside Marriott Hotel sharing a booth with my friend Sahnda,(http://www.sahndamarie.blogspot.com/) (The organized one who had her camera and took all of these great photos!)

This was our first time sharing a space and also our first "big" craft show, that involved more than showing up with a six foot table and product. Our main concern was to make sure that our booth flowed well together and that it wasn't a huge shock walking up to a booth with her sewn creations and my paper crafting creations. And I have to say I think we pulled it off!
Sahnda came up with a great idea to print our logos on fabric and add them to the quilting hoops. We luckily have coordinating colors, so it was easy to find some great fabric to make our fabric strip banner that was hung across the entire length of the booth.

We chose a crisp white for the table cloth and curtains, which made everything flow well, and also didn't take away from the great colors in our products. I am fortunate to have an extremely patient husband who made our PVC pipe wall. I tend to have a "great idea", which involves me making stick figure drawings and he has to pull it all together and make it fabulous! haha After a few alterations and weeks of my false wall sitting in the dining room as I tinkered with it, we had our space divider.
A few trips to the craft store and Target for props, a few cans of spray paint, and we had a booth we are both very proud of. Stay tuned later this week for my post about the amazing vendors at Sew Funky and my Easter basket goodies I found for the kiddos!

Happy Crafting,
Heather

I LOVE your booth! :) I'm just getting started doing craft fairs, and I've been looking for great ideas. Your booth is cute and so well organized. :)
